Meejin Lee
About: I was born in South Korea and has been residing in Ann Arbor, USA since 2012.In June of this year, I had an exhibition at Westside Art Hop, and there were many sales. I create a variety of artworks, but my favorite and primary creative activity is ceramic art. I also do tile art using alcohol inks and resin, and I engage in mixed media creations using the collage technique.
In April of this year, I had the opportunity to participate in the Prophetic Art School, led by renowned prophetic artist Janet Hyun, and I have completed the first semester as a student of the inaugural class.
What I love to create: Ceramic Art: I enjoy using the technique of covering Terra Cotta clay with Majolica, then painting pictures using underglaze and expressing artwork by applying various colored slips and scratching(Sgraffito). I also like creating artwork by drawing and painting on newsprint and then transfer the image onto clay using the printmaking technique.

Mixed Media: I create artworks using the collage technique, using acrylic paint and various types of paper on a wooden board.
My inspiration? Why I make? I believe that all my inspiration comes from God, the Creator of all things. Through my artworks, I hope to bring warmth, love, comfort, encouragement, and support to many people. I aspire to channel the proceeds from my creations towards orphans, widows, and those in need, with the hope that God's love and life will be conveyed through those efforts.
