About: I’m a science/health & wellness nerd turned self taught jewelry artist! I grew up in Ann Arbor and have a background in behavioral and physical sciences from the University of Michigan. While it was never a professional goal to become an artist, a major life change redirected my path and what began as a therapeutic hobby, blossomed into something much more (thankfully!).
I’m also mom to super sweet identical twin girls who turn 4 soon and a lover of all things plants and aquatic life …I have 12 fish, 2 shrimps and a frog!
What I love to create: I love creating statement earring pieces, especially moons (celestial elements) and things that channel that goddess energy. I use polymer clay, resin, alcohol inks, mica powders and acrylic paints. My favorite techniques include mokume gane, terrazzo and marbling. I have a thing for organic shapes and intricate patterns with plenty of depth, dimension and shine.
My inspiration? Why I make? I enjoy creating jewelry because I see it as a way to connect with people and have the opportunity to support and encourage their self expression. We can say a lot through the way we dress and accessorize. It is my hope to inspire all people to wear what makes them feel confident and joyous. It is an honor when people are able to find that in my art.
It is also my hope to inspire feelings of light heartedness, freedom, authenticity and to spark the imagination through my work. I’m heavily inspired by music as I tend to hear and interpret music in color and patterns rather than just sound alone. I also lean on my inner child and nature for inspiration.
